Easy Homemade Brownies

I have homemade brownies in the oven and they smell so wonderful that I thought I should share the recipe.

1 cup butter
2 cups white sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder

DIRECTIONS

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2.Grease and lightly flour a 13X9 baking pan
3.Melt butter in a saucepan and set to the side
4.In bowl add sugar, eggs and vanilla and mix. You can use a whisk or a beater. Add melted butter and mix.
5.Beat in cocoa, flour, salt and baking powder.
6.Spread batter into prepared pan.
7.Bake in preheated oven for 30 - 32 minutes. Don't overcook.

Walnuts are optional, add to preference. You can also melt some peanut butter and swirl it with a knife through the batter in the pan.

Enjoy!
